I’ll tell you why, if you have not talked to one of our staffing managers or owner Ramona Mathany then you probably don’t know that we aren’t just a staffing agency, we are a staffing agency with a mission. It’s a mission that started at the conception of the company, it started from the tale of two Ramona’s. Now, I can’t do the entire story justice in a blog, the story needs to be told orally. You need to hear the conviction and emotion in our staffing coordinators voices. I strongly suggest that if you are looking for employees that you give us a call and hear it straight from us. You will get a very strong feel for who we are as a company.

I can tell you that there were two Ramona’s. Ramona Mathany our company leader was very close to the other Ramona – Ramona B. Ramona B. was down on her luck, she had a tough go of things like so many do and when she was given a second chance at life she took every advantage. She did all the right things, she worked the program and she changed her life, but she could not get a job. No matter how hard she tried, she could not find an employer to take a chance on her. She could not feed her family and in the end made a desperate choice that turned out to be the wrong one. Ramona Mathany and her husband Jim watched helplessly as Ramona B. went down this path. They were completely distraught and heartbroken wondering why a good person who had made some mistakes couldn’t get a second chance. You see everyone has a past, a before that happens in your life when you need a second chance. Ramona and Jim knew that and felt compelled to start a different kind of staffing company that they swore would always honor Ramona B. in the way the company treats everyone who walks through the door at All Star Labor & Staffing.

By honoring our employees, we know that everyone brings their before into our office. We don’t meet them where they are in their minds, in that anxious place – we honor them, we show them hospitality, we make them a latte and we find out who they are and what they need. In the same way we honor our employees we also honor our clients. In order to have authenticity in our mission we need to advocate for our employees but also offer protection to our clients. Too often staffing companies, get an order for people and simply throw warm bodies their way. To us, that is dishonoring both our employees and our clients. We serve with a spirit of excellence. We work to build client’s businesses by understanding their pain points and customizing our service accordingly. We always do our best to send an employee with the skills and background the client is looking for. If we don’t always do our very best to match our employees to the right clients, it is dishonoring to our mission. We will always serve to lift you up, give you hand and get you to where you want to be. By sticking to our mission, we have seen so many businesses grow and thrive and we have seen so many people who have had a before – have an excellent future.
