On any given day, All Star Labor & Staffing has more than 700 talented workers deployed to jobs all over Oregon. We know how hard they work and how nerve-wracking it is to be sent out to new jobs where your needed or to start a new career as a direct hire. During National Staffing Employee Week – and every week – we want our All Stars to know how much we appreciate them. This week we have chosen the best of the best as nominees for our All Star of the Year Award. With 5 outstanding candidates, one was chosen to take home the big prize!
All Star of the Year: Walter Bauder
All Star Labor & Staffing wishes to congratulate Walter Bauder as our All Star of the Year! Walter received a cash prize along with a congratulatory certificate. Walter has been with All-Star for only a short time, but in that time he has been a stellar employee. Everywhere Walter has been sent, he has been requested back. Gina’s Catering, LAM Research and The Oregon Zoo have all requested Walter on several occasions. He has been willing to drop everything and work doubles if need be. Walter makes our job easier because there is never a doubt that he will give it his all, be punctual, and always “WOW” our clients. Walter and his girlfriend Maggie have been so fantastic; they often get asked to work shifts together.
“You guys have been great at keeping Maggie and I busy which we deeply appreciate. We also love the multitude of venues we get assigned to as it keeps the job fresh and exciting. But most of all we love that we’re always learning new things from the various experts we meet. Again thank you for what you guys do because it can’t be easy coordinating everything…. I can’t imagine the patience it must take! LOL” – Walter Bauder
All Star of the Year – Nominees
Casey Lawrence – Salem Branch
Casey Lawrence was the first employee of the month at the Salem branch back when it opened and was hired on with the very first employer that he was sent to. Casey had a difficult background but we knew he was coming to us with the hope of us helping him turn his life around. In these cases, All Star Labor & Staffing puts in the work to make sure we place workers with backgrounds in places that are open to it so that we never put a client or employee in an uncomfortable position. Casey more than excelled where he was placed. After having worked 520 hours through our office, Casey was hired on by the employer full time.
During Casey’s time with us not only have we regularly received offerings of gratitude from him and his family, we’ve also received messages from his employers such as: “we are extremely happy with Casey.” Casey is just one example of how important our All Star Mission is. We are so proud to be a part of his journey.
Barbra Peterson – Portland Branch
Barbara has only been with us for a few months now but in that short time has become our go-to person on so many occasions, we have lost count! Barbara is incredibly talented and has an amazing set of skills that give her the capability to work across in many different industries.
Michael A Rogers – Albany Branch
Michael has been a rock to us as far as showing up for last minute orders and when other employees call off. He has also recently been getting part-time hours with a client that has spoken very highly of him. It’s people like Michael that have really made staffing fun and rewarding!
Christopher Benton- Bend Branch
In Celebration of National Staffing Week, the Bend office nominated Christopher Benton. Christopher came in to the Bend office 15 months ago looking for some work. In that time, he has been on 24 different assignments. The assignments range from landscaping to working at Deschutes County Solid waste. Christopher is always responsible, turning in his time card on time and done accurately. It truly is a pleasure to work with Christopher.
Thank you to ALL of our All Stars! We appreciate you!
